Membrane cable entry plate | for 216×84 mm cut-out | 2× Ø24–54 + 1× Ø30–59 + 3× Ø6–14 mm | grey | IP65 | HT Hi Tech Polymers | HTC-3
HTC-3 is a membrane cable entry plate for the standard 216 × 84 mm (C-hole) cut-out, made not for many thin wires but for a few large power cables. It has three large entries – two Ø24–54 mm and one Ø30–59 mm – plus three small Ø6–14 mm entries for control or metering cables.
Key point:
Getting a large power cable into a panel with a proper seal is often the hardest part: large cable glands are expensive and each needs its own big hole. HTC-3 takes up to three thick cables through one standard cut-out, and the three small entries are left for the related control cables.Large entries

up to 6How it works
Installation: the plate is placed in a 216 × 84 mm cut-out and screwed through Ø10 mm holes (spacing 193 / 62 mm).
Operation: the large-entry membrane is cut to suit the outer Ø of the specific power cable, slightly smaller than the cable, and the TPE seals tightly around the sheath.
Result: three large cables and three control cables through one cut-out; large entries IP65, small entries IP55.
Why choose HTC-3?
HTC-3 replaces several large cable glands with one plate. The wide entry ranges (Ø24–54 and Ø30–59 mm) let the same plate serve feeders of different sizes, which makes it convenient to keep in stock and on site.Technical specifications

- 2 entries Ø24–54 mm – for large power cables
- 1 entry Ø30–59 mm – for the thickest feeder or generator cable
- 3 entries Ø6–14 mm – for control, metering or alarm cables
- Wide ranges – one plate for cables of different sizes
- IP65 on large entries – dust-tight and protected against water jets
- Halogen-free TPE-SEBS – −40…+130 °C, indoor and outdoor
Where is it used?
- Building incoming and main switchboards
- 0.4 kV panels in transformer substations
- Generator and standby supply (ATS) panels
- AC combiner panels in solar power plants
- Supply panels for EV fast-charging stations
- Main supply entries of large industrial machines
- Main panels of pumping stations and boiler rooms
Use by need
For switchboard installers.
Three large cables through one cut-out – no need to drill three big holes and buy large glands. For solar and EV charging installers.
The wide entry range lets one plate take power cables of different cross-sections.For site energy managers.
A tidy, sealed entry into the main panel that is easy to replace during maintenance.Practical use
If an incoming switchboard receives two supply cables of Ø40–50 mm and a standby generator cable, and the automatic transfer switch needs a couple of control cables, HTC-3 takes all of them through one 216 × 84 mm cut-out.Pros
- Up to three large cables (up to Ø59 mm) through one cut-out
- Very wide entry ranges
- Small entries for control cables in the same plate
- IP65 on the large entries
- −40…+130 °C, halogen-free, indoor and outdoor
Cons / limitations
- Only 6 cables in total – many medium-size cables fit HTC-17 (9 × Ø18–30 mm)
- The manufacturer rates the small Ø6–14 mm entries at IP55 only
- The membrane cannot carry the weight of a large cable – it must be clamped inside the panel
- Not a fire barrier
Safety and installation notes
- Work in an incoming switchboard only after isolating it and verifying it is dead – the feeder may be live from the network side.
- After making the cut-out, remove burrs and metal swarf.
- Open a large membrane gradually, checking against the cable outer Ø – the opening must be slightly smaller than the cable.
- Clamp large cables inside and outside the panel so their weight and bending do not load the membrane.
- One cable per entry only.
Quick selection guide
2 × Ø24–54 mm1 × Ø30–59 mm3 × Ø6–14 mmCut-out 216 × 84 mmSuitable when you need:- 1–3 large power cables through one cut-out
- a few control cables in the same entry
- one solution instead of several large glands
Check before use:- the power cable outer Ø – does it fall within 24–54 mm and 30–59 mm
- whether IP55 on the small entries is enough for your environment
- whether cleats or clamps for the large cables are provided
Important reminder: HTC-3 seals the entry of large cables, but it does not carry their weight and is not a fire barrier – clamp the cables, and use dedicated systems in fire-rated walls.FAQ
What cable sizes does HTC-3 take?
Two entries are for Ø24–54 mm cables, one for Ø30–59 mm, and three small ones for Ø6–14 mm.How many cables can be installed?
Up to 6: three large and three thinner. Why are the small entries rated IP55?
That is the manufacturer's rating; the large entries are rated IP65.Can several cables go through one large entry?
No, each entry must hold one cable, otherwise the seal is not ensured. What if I have more but thinner cables?
For Ø18–30 mm cables choose HTC-17, for a mixed set HTC-35.Is HTC-3 suitable for outdoor panels?
Yes, the manufacturer specifies indoor and outdoor use, −40…+130 °C.Manufacturer documents
