Membrane cable entry plate | for Rittal-type opening | 330×90 mm | 50 cables Ø6–34 mm | grey | IP65 | HT Hi Tech Polymers | RIT-50
RIT-50 is a medium-size membrane plate for Rittal-type cable entry openings, used when a cabinet receives a mixed set of cables: a few power cables, many control cables and thin sensor cables. Each cable enters through its own cone, which is opened only when needed.
Key point:
Five size groups from Ø6 to Ø34 mm let one plate close the whole entry of a typical automation or building services cabinet. There is no need to collect separate glands for every diameter – you only need the outer Ø and the number of cables.Max. cables

IP65How it works
The plate is placed over the Rittal-type opening and fixed with 8 screws through Ø4 mm holes, pressing the sealing edge against the enclosure.
Each cable is given a cone of the right group, cut at the step slightly smaller than the cable's outer Ø – the TPE-SEBS membrane wraps tightly around the sheath.
The cabinet entry is sealed to IP65, unused cones stay closed as a reserve.
Why choose RIT-50?
RIT-50 covers a wide range of diameters: from thin Ø6 mm sensor or data cables up to Ø34 mm power cables. This is convenient in cabinets with very different cables and limited space for the entry.Technical specifications

- Five cone groups – Ø6–11, Ø10–15, Ø15–21, Ø16–25 and Ø19–34 mm in one plate
- 16 openings for thin cables – Ø6–11 mm for sensors, data and alarm lines
- 2 openings up to Ø34 mm – for power cables without a separate gland
- Reserve without blanking plugs – uncut cones stay sealed
- IP65 and −40…+100 °C – for indoor and outdoor cabinets
Where is it used?
- Automation cabinets for building services (HVAC, lighting)
- Machine and equipment control cabinets in Rittal-type enclosures
- Control panels of pumping stations, boiler rooms and heat substations
- Combiner and control cabinets of solar power plants
- Floor distribution boards with power and low-current cables
- Outdoor control cabinets requiring an IP65 entry
Use by need
For the automation designer.
One item covers a mixed cable set from Ø6 to Ø34 mm – a simpler specification and fewer gland types. For the electrician.
No drilling and threading for every cable – just cut the cone of the right group. For the building manager.
When a sensor or device is added, its cable goes through a spare cone without changing the enclosure.Practical use
If an HVAC automation cabinet needs 2 power cables Ø24 mm, 4 cables Ø20 mm, 18 control cables Ø12 mm and 10 sensor cables Ø8 mm, 34 cones are cut and 16 remain as a reserve for sensors or actuators added later.Pros
- 50 cables through one opening
- Wide range Ø6–34 mm
- 16 openings for thin cables Ø6–11 mm
- IP65 according to EN 60529
- Halogen-free TPE-SEBS, −40…+100 °C
- Fixed with 8 screws
Cons / limitations
- There is no opening for a cable thicker than Ø34 mm – choose RIT-139 (1× Ø30–60 mm)
- Only 2 openings Ø19–34 mm and 4 openings Ø16–25 mm; more thick cables require a larger plate
- The membrane does not provide strain relief – cables must be secured inside the cabinet
- It is not a fire barrier
Safety and installation notes
- Switch off the voltage and verify its absence before working in the cabinet.
- Use a separate cone for each cable and cut it at the step slightly smaller than its outer Ø.
- Do not damage the membrane with sharp conductor ends when feeding cables – cover them with a cap or tape.
- Remove swarf and dirt from the opening edges before fitting the plate.
- Check that all 8 screws are tightened evenly – otherwise the edge may not seal.
Quick selection guide
Plate 330×90 mm8 holes Ø4 mm50 cables Ø6–34 mmIP65, −40…+100 °CSuitable when you need:- to bring a mixed cable set from Ø6 to Ø34 mm through one Rittal-type opening
- to seal an automation cabinet entry to IP65
- to leave a reserve for additional sensor cables
Check before use:- that the enclosure opening fits a 330×90 mm plate with 8 fixing holes
- how many cables fall into each Ø group – especially those above Ø16 mm
- that no cable is thicker than Ø34 mm
Important reminder: RIT-50 seals the entry (IP65) but does not protect the cable against pull-out and is not a fire barrier – secure the cables inside the cabinet and use certified systems in fire-rated walls.FAQ
How many cables fit into RIT-50?
Up to 50 cables Ø6–34 mm, each through its own cone.Which cable sizes are the openings for?
2× Ø19–34, 4× Ø16–25, 2× Ø15–21, 26× Ø10–15 and 16× Ø6–11 mm.Can a cable thinner than Ø6 mm be used?
No, the smallest group is Ø6–11 mm; for very thin cables there is HT-50 (Ø3.5–5.5 mm) for a Ø50 mm hole. How does RIT-50 differ from RIT-139?
RIT-50 is smaller (330×90 mm, 50 cables Ø6–34 mm), RIT-139 is 534×149 mm with 139 cables Ø10–60 mm.How is the plate fixed?
With 8 screws through Ø4 mm holes. What temperature range is it rated for?
