Single-cable membrane entry flange | for Ø86 mm hole | cable Ø55–70 mm | flange Ø123.1 mm | grey | IP67 | HT Hi Tech Polymers | HTX-1
HTX-1 is a TPE-SEBS elastomer entry with a round Ø123.1 mm flange for one thick cable Ø55–70 mm. It is fitted into a round Ø86 mm hole in the enclosure wall. The manufacturer specifies it as an entry flange for aluminium power cables.
Key point:
Thick aluminium power cables are hard to bring into a cabinet with a proper seal: large glands with nuts are expensive, and multi-entry plates do not suit such a diameter. HTX-1 solves this simply – one round Ø86 mm hole that can be made with a hole saw, and an elastic membrane that grips the cable sheath tightly.Cable Ø

IP67How it works
A round Ø86 mm hole is made in the enclosure wall, HTX-1 is placed over it and the flange is fixed to the wall (check the fixing hole layout against the product).
The membrane is cut at a step slightly smaller than the cable's outer diameter and the cable is pushed through – the elastic material seals tightly against the sheath.
One thick cable enters sealed (IP67 according to the latest manufacturer's sheet) without a large gland with a nut.
Why choose HTX-1?
It lets one Ø55–70 mm power cable enter through a simple round hole with a proper seal – faster and simpler than a metal or plastic gland with a nut of that size.Technical specifications
Product type Single-cable membrane entry flange Code HTX-1 Manufacturer HT Hi Tech Polymers Oy (Finland) Cable Ø 55–70 mm (1 cable) Enclosure hole Ø86 mm Flange diameter Ø123.1 mm Intended use (manufacturer) aluminium power cables Degree of protection IP67 (EN 60529, per latest manufacturer's sheet) Operating temperature −40…+130 °C Material TPE-SEBS 50 ShA, halogen-free, oil-splash-resistant Colour grey (RAL 7035) Use indoor and outdoor Main functions
- One cable Ø55–70 mm – for thick power cables
- Round Ø86 mm hole – easy to make with a hole saw
- Ø123.1 mm flange – covers the hole and is pressed against the wall
- Elastic membrane – cut to the actual cable diameter
- IP67 – sealing per the latest manufacturer's sheet
Where is it used?
- Building service entry cabinets with a thick aluminium incoming cable
- Distribution network cable cabinets
- Low-voltage cabinets in transformer substations
- Industrial power switchboards
- Power cabinets for solar plants and energy storage
- Construction site and temporary supply entry cabinets
Use by need
For distribution network contractors.
A thick aluminium cable goes in through one round hole without a large gland with a nut.For entry cabinet builders.
The round Ø86 mm hole is made with a standard hole saw – simple and repeatable enclosure preparation. For designers.
A clear single-cable entry solution with a stated cable range of Ø55–70 mm and a Ø86 mm hole.Practical application
If one Ø62 mm aluminium power cable has to enter a building's service entry cabinet through its bottom, a Ø86 mm hole is drilled in the bottom, HTX-1 is fitted, the membrane is cut at a step slightly smaller than Ø62 mm and the cable is pushed through.Pros
- For thick cables Ø55–70 mm
- Simple round Ø86 mm hole
- IP67 per the latest manufacturer's sheet
- Operating temperature −40…+130 °C
- Halogen-free material for indoor and outdoor use
Cons / limitations
- Only one cable; for several thick cables choose HTX-23 (up to Ø48 mm) or HTC-3
- For a thinner single-cable entry (Ø16–61.4 mm) KUPO G is suitable
- Does not provide strain relief – the thick cable must be secured separately
- Not a fire barrier
Safety and installation notes
- Work in the entry cabinet only with the power off and absence of voltage verified.
- After drilling remove swarf and deburr the sharp edges of the hole.
- A thick cable is heavy and stiff – secure it to supports so that its weight and bending do not act on the membrane.
- Cut the membrane at a step slightly smaller than the cable's outer diameter.
Quick selection guide
Hole Ø86 mmCable Ø55–70 mmFlange Ø123.1 mmIP67, −40…+130 °CSuitable when you need:- one thick power cable Ø55–70 mm
- a sealed entry through a round hole
- a solution without a large gland with a nut
Check before use:- the cable's outer diameter – Ø55–70 mm
- whether the Ø123.1 mm flange fits on the wall around the Ø86 mm hole
- how the cable will be secured beyond the entry
Important reminder: HTX-1 seals a single thick cable entry, but does not carry the cable's weight and pulling forces and is not a fire barrier – secure the cable separately.FAQ
What cable size is HTX-1 for?
For one cable with an outer diameter of Ø55–70 mm.What hole is needed in the enclosure?
A round Ø86 mm hole; the flange diameter is Ø123.1 mm.Is it suitable for copper cables?
The manufacturer specifies it for aluminium cables, but the deciding factor is the cable's outer diameter – Ø55–70 mm.What is the degree of protection?
IP67 according to the latest manufacturer's sheet. Can two cables be passed through?
No, HTX-1 is for one cable; for several cables choose a multi-entry plate such as HTX-23.Is it suitable outdoors?
Yes, the material is intended for indoor and outdoor use, operating temperature −40…+130 °C.Manufacturer documents
