Membrane cable grommet | Ø25 mm for Ø27 mm hole | for cable Ø5–19.5 mm | white | IP54 | IEK | YSA40-25-27-68-K01
IEK YSA40-25-27-68-K01 is a round stepped membrane grommet that is fitted into a Ø27 mm hole in a box or board wall. The cone has steps of Ø5.0 / 8.6 / 12.3 / 15.9 / 19.5 mm, so one item suits cables from Ø5 to Ø19.5 mm.
Key point:
When a box or board has a standard Ø27 mm hole and the cable size is not known in advance – or there are many different cables on site – a stepped grommet means one item for all cases. The cone is cut at the step slightly smaller than the cable Ø, and the hole is closed without a nut or thread. The white colour suits visible indoor installations.Cable Ø

Installation: press the grommet into the Ø27 mm hole in the enclosure.
Operation: cut the cone at a step slightly smaller than the cable's outer Ø and push the cable through – the membrane wraps around it.
Result: the hole is closed, the cable does not touch a sharp edge, and the entry point is sealed to IP54.
Why choose YSA40-25-27-68-K01?
One code for five cable size steps: the installer does not have to carry several gland sizes. With no nut, installation is fast – a Ø27 mm hole and a knife are enough.Technical specifications

- Five steps – for cables from Ø5 to Ø19.5 mm.
- Pressed into a Ø27 mm hole – no nut, no thread.
- IP54 protection – against dust and splashing water.
- Protection from a sharp edge – the cable does not touch the hole edge.
- Stays closed until cut – an unused hole remains sealed.
- White colour – looks neat in visible indoor installations.
Where is it used?
- Distribution and junction boxes with Ø27 mm holes
- Small plastic boards
- Boxes for lighting and socket circuits
- Automation and control boxes
- Low-voltage (alarm, communication) boxes
- Indoor installations in offices and homes
Use by need
For the installing electrician.
One item for different cable sizes from Ø5 to Ø19.5 mm – fewer sizes in the van.For the low-voltage installer.
Thin alarm or communication cables enter the box neatly – the cone is cut at the Ø5.0 or Ø8.6 mm step. For the stock buyer.
One code covers five cable sizes – simpler stock management.Practical use
If a cable with an outer Ø of about 10 mm has to enter a junction box with a Ø27 mm hole, press the grommet into the hole, cut the cone at the Ø8.6 mm step and push the cable through – the membrane grips it tightly.Pros
- Wide Ø5–19.5 mm range in one item
- Installation without nut or thread
- IP54 protection
- Operating temperature −40…+80 °C
- Clear steps – easy to cut to the right size
Cons / limitations
- IP54 – not for outdoor water jets or immersion; for higher protection – a gland with nut, e.g. Haupa 250050 (M25×1.5, Ø13–18 mm, IP68).
- The membrane does not provide strain relief – fix the cable inside.
- Fits a Ø27 mm hole only – sealing is not ensured in other holes.
- Not for cables thinner than Ø5 mm – choose PG-07 (PG7, Ø3.5–6 mm, IP67).
Safety and installation notes
- Bring cables into the box or board only with the voltage switched off.
- Drill the hole exactly Ø27 mm and remove swarf and burrs.
- Cut the cone at a step slightly smaller than the cable Ø – an oversized opening will not seal.
- One cable per grommet.
- Fix the cable inside or next to the box – the membrane does not take up tension.
Quick selection guide
Hole Ø27 mmCable Ø5–19.5 mmIP54whiteSuitable when you need:- Sealing a Ø27 mm hole in a box or board
- One grommet for cables of different sizes
- Fast installation without a nut
Check before use:- The hole diameter (Ø27 mm)
- The cable's outer diameter (5–19.5 mm)
- Whether IP54 is sufficient for the location
Important reminder: YSA40-25-27-68-K01 closes the hole and protects the cable from the edge, but it does not provide strain relief and is not a fire barrier.FAQ
