  • Round membrane grommet | for Ø50 mm hole | 36 cables Ø3.5–5.5 mm | grey | IP65 | HT Hi Tech Polymers | HT-50 (HTL-50-36)

    Code: Sandariklis HT-50

HT-50 (manufacturer code HTL-50-36) is a round membrane grommet for a Ø50 mm hole with 36 cones for thin cables Ø3.5–5.5 mm. Intended for low-current, signal and sensor cables. For a 1.5–5 mm wall, IP65.

  • Round membrane grommet | for Ø50 mm hole | 36 cables Ø3.5–5.5 mm | grey | IP65 | HT Hi Tech Polymers | HT-50 (HTL-50-36)

HT-50 is intended for cases where dozens of thin cables must enter an enclosure: sensors, thermocouples, signal or communication lines. The grommet is pressed into a Ø50 mm hole, and 36 identical cones accept cables Ø3.5–5.5 mm – each through a separate opening.

    Key point:
36 cables through one hole is the highest density of thin cables among the round membranes in this range. There is no need to drill dozens of small holes and fit as many glands, yet each cable is still sealed individually.

    How it works

A Ø50 mm hole is cut in the enclosure wall (1.5–5 mm), and the grommet is pressed in until the wall sits in its groove.

A separate cone is cut for each cable at the step slightly smaller than the cable's outer Ø, and the cable is pushed through.

All cables are sealed to IP65, uncut cones stay closed as a reserve.

    Why choose HT-50?
Up to 36 thin cables with individual sealing in one Ø50 mm hole. A solution for test benches, measuring systems and low-current distribution, where there are many cables and little room for entries.

    Main functions

    • 36 cones in one hole – up to 36 thin cables through a Ø50 mm hole
    • Individual sealing – each cable has its own cone
    • Identical cones Ø3.5–5.5 mm – no need to plan which cable goes where
    • Pressed in by hand – no screws, nuts or threads
    • IP65 and −40…+100 °C – for indoor and outdoor enclosures

    Where is it used?

    • Test and measurement benches with many sensors and thermocouples
    • Data acquisition and monitoring system enclosures
    • Sensor line distribution boxes in building automation
    • Distribution boxes of security and access control systems
    • Laboratory and process equipment with many signal lines
    • Distributed PLC I/O modules

    Use by need

    For the measurement system integrator.
Dozens of sensor or thermocouple cables enter through one hole – each sealed individually.
    For the control panel manufacturer.
Instead of many small entries – one Ø50 mm hole, easy to make with a hole saw.
    For the facility manager.
When new sensors are added, their cables go through uncut cones without changing the enclosure.

    Practical use

If 30 temperature sensor cables Ø4.5 mm must be brought into a data acquisition box on a heating system test bench, HT-50 is pressed into one Ø50 mm hole, 30 cones are cut and 6 remain for additional measuring points.

    Pros

    • Up to 36 cables through one Ø50 mm hole
    • Each cable sealed individually
    • Identical cones – simple installation
    • Mounting without screws or nuts
    • IP65, −40…+100 °C
    • Halogen-free TPE-SEBS

    Cons / limitations

    • Only for thin cables Ø3.5–5.5 mm – for thicker ones choose HTL-32 (Ø3–7 mm) or HTL-50 (up to Ø21 mm)
    • A power cable cannot be passed through this grommet – it needs a separate hole or another membrane
    • The membrane does not provide strain relief – cables must be secured inside the enclosure
    • It is not a fire barrier

    Safety and installation notes

    • Work with the power and any backup source disconnected.
    • Cut the Ø50 mm hole cleanly, remove swarf and burrs.
    • Cut the thin cones with a sharp knife at the step slightly smaller than the cable Ø – an oversized opening will not seal.
    • Bundle and secure the cables inside so that their weight does not pull on the membrane.

    Quick selection guide

    Hole Ø50 mm
    Wall 1.5–5 mm
    36× Ø3.5–5.5 mm
    IP65, −40…+100 °C
    Suitable when you need:
    • to bring dozens of thin cables through one hole
    • to seal each cable individually
    • to leave a reserve for additional sensors
    Check before use:
    • that the hole is Ø50 mm and the wall is 1.5–5 mm
    • that the outer Ø of all cables is 3.5–5.5 mm
    • that there are no more than 36 cables
Important reminder: HT-50 seals the hole (IP65) but does not secure cables against pull-out and is not a fire barrier – fix the cables inside the enclosure.

    FAQ

    What hole is required?
A round Ø50 mm hole in a 1.5–5 mm wall.
How many cables can be used?
Up to 36 cables Ø3.5–5.5 mm.
Are HT-50 and HTL-50 the same?
No: HT-50 (HTL-50-36) is for 36 thin cables, HTL-50 is for mixed cables up to Ø21 mm.
Will a Ø6 mm cable fit?
No, the cones are for Ø3.5–5.5 mm; for a Ø6 mm cable choose HTL-32 (Ø3–7 mm).
Do all cones have to be cut?
No, uncut cones stay closed and sealed.
What temperature range is it rated for?
    The manufacturer states −40…+100 °C.
