  • Membrane cable entry plate | for 216×84 mm cut-out | 49× Ø7–13 + 1× Ø15–25 mm | grey | IP65 | HT Hi Tech Polymers | HTC-50

HTC-50 is a membrane cable entry plate that fits the standard 216 × 84 mm (C-hole) cut-out in a cabinet or enclosure wall. It is made for places where many thin control and signal cables have to enter at one point: 49 entries for Ø7–13 mm cables and one entry for Ø15–25 mm. Every entry is closed by an elastic TPE membrane that is opened only when a cable goes through it.

    Key point:
In an automation panel the hard part is rarely the supply cable – it is the dozens of thin sensor, valve and data lines. HTC-50 takes all of them through a single cut-out, with no separate cable gland and hole for each cable. Unopened entries stay closed, so spare capacity for future cables is there from day one.

    How it works

Installation: a 216 × 84 mm cut-out and Ø10 mm fixing holes (spacing 193 / 62 mm) are made in the enclosure, and the plate is fixed with screws.

Operation: the required membrane is cut with an opening slightly smaller than the cable outer Ø, the cable is pushed through and the elastic TPE seals tightly around it.

Result: up to 50 cables through one cut-out, IP65 sealing, and unused entries remain closed as a reserve.

    Why choose HTC-50?
HTC-50 saves time where there are many cables and they are thin: one plate and one cut-out instead of dozens of PG or metric cable glands. The large Ø15–25 mm entry is left for the supply cable, the 49 small ones for control, sensor and communication lines.

    Main functions

    • 49 entries Ø7–13 mm – control, signal and communication cables in one place
    • 1 entry Ø15–25 mm – for the supply cable or a thicker line
    • Closed membranes – only used entries are opened, the rest stay in reserve
    • IP65 – dust-tight and protected against water jets (EN 60529)
    • Standard C-hole 216 × 84 mm – fits enclosures with an FL21 cut-out
    • Halogen-free TPE-SEBS – for −40…+130 °C, resistant to oil splashes

    Where is it used?

    • Industrial automation and PLC control panels
    • Machine tool and production line control cabinets
    • Building automation (BMS) and ventilation unit control panels
    • Pumping station and boiler room automation panels
    • Low-voltage panels: intruder alarm, access control, CCTV
    • Junction boxes for sensor and actuator cables
    • Outdoor control cabinets with bottom cable entry

    Use by need

    For control panel builders.
One standard cut-out instead of many holes – faster enclosure preparation and a tidy cable entry at the bottom of the panel.
    For installation electricians.
Cables go in without tightening nuts: cut the membrane, push the cable through, secure it inside.
    For facility managers.
When a new sensor or device is added, a free entry is already there – no drilling into the panel.

    Practical use

If 30–40 sensor, valve and alarm cables plus one supply cable meet at the bottom of a control panel, a single HTC-50 plate takes all of them through one 216 × 84 mm cut-out, and the remaining closed entries are kept for future additions.

    Pros

    • Up to 50 cables through one cut-out
    • No separate cable gland and hole per cable
    • Unopened entries stay closed – reserve without extra blanking plugs
    • IP65 according to the manufacturer
    • Wide operating range −40…+130 °C
    • Halogen-free material for indoor and outdoor use

    Cons / limitations

    • Small entries only for Ø7–13 mm cables – for thinner cables choose the cone-type HTKC series (e.g. HTKC-50)
    • Only one larger entry (Ø15–25 mm) – for several power cables HTC-35 or HTC-25 is a better fit
    • The membrane does not provide strain relief – the cable must be secured inside the panel
    • Not a fire barrier – it does not replace fire-stopping
    • Needs exactly a 216 × 84 mm cut-out; for smaller enclosures use HTB-10 (138 × 48 mm cut-out)

    Safety and installation notes

    • Make the cut-out and holes only with the panel de-energised or before equipment is installed.
    • After cutting and drilling, deburr the edges and remove all metal swarf from the panel.
    • Cut the membrane with a knife, slightly smaller than the cable outer Ø – do not tear it or pierce it with a screwdriver.
    • One cable per entry only; two cables in one entry will not seal.
    • Secure the cables inside the panel (clamps, brackets) so that pulling forces are not taken by the membrane.
    • Tighten the plate evenly against a flat, clean surface – only then is IP65 maintained.

    Quick selection guide

    49 × Ø7–13 mm
    1 × Ø15–25 mm
    IP65
    Cut-out 216 × 84 mm
    Suitable when you need:
    • many thin control or signal cables through one cut-out
    • free entries kept for future cables
    • IP65 sealing at the bottom or side of a panel
    Check before use:
    • the cable outer Ø – does it fall within 7–13 mm or 15–25 mm
    • whether the enclosure has, or can take, a 216 × 84 mm cut-out
    • whether strain relief for the cables is provided inside the panel
Important reminder: HTC-50 seals the cable entry, but it does not provide strain relief and is not a fire barrier – secure the cables inside, and use dedicated fire-stopping systems in fire-rated walls.

    FAQ

What cable sizes does HTC-50 take?
The 49 entries are for cables with an outer Ø of 7–13 mm, and the single larger entry for Ø15–25 mm.
Can I put two cables through one entry?
No – one entry is for one cable, otherwise IP65 sealing is not ensured.
Do unused entries need to be closed?
No, unopened membranes stay closed and keep the seal.
What cut-out does the enclosure need?
    A 216 × 84 mm C-hole with Ø10 mm fixing holes, spacing 193 / 62 mm.
    Can HTC-50 be used outdoors?
Yes, the manufacturer specifies indoor and outdoor use, operating temperature −40…+130 °C.
How does HTC-50 differ from HTC-35?
HTC-50 has many identical small entries (49 × Ø7–13 mm), while HTC-35 has a mixed layout with larger entries up to Ø32 mm.
