Universal pulse analyser | 2 pulse inputs | 1-Wire | 0.1–18 V DC | RS485 | built-in Wi-Fi antenna | 100–240 V AC | DIN | smart-MAIC | D105-10
The smart-MAIC D105-10 is a universal DIN-rail pulse analyser that collects pulses from water, gas, heat and other meters together with sensor readings and sends them to the cloud over Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi antenna is built into the housing, so no extra antennas or cables are needed.
Key point:
Choose the D105-10 when the device goes into a plastic enclosure or a room and the router is close by. A built-in antenna means fewer parts and a cleaner installation. If the cabinet is metal or the signal is weak, choose the D105-12 – no external antenna can be connected to the D105-10.Pulse inputs

- Pulse inputs (2) – For water, gas, heat, fuel or electricity meters with a pulse output, e.g. a dry contact or the NO5W magnetic sensor. The pulse value of the meter is set in the cloud.
- 1-Wire input – Up to 5 DS18b20 temperature sensors on one line OR one DHT22 / D280 (temperature, humidity, pressure). Sensors connect directly to the D105 terminals.
- Analogue input 0.1–18 V DC – For pressure (G1/4), level (mH2O), light, pH, TDS and other sensors with a voltage output. Sensors powered from 12–24 V DC need a separate power supply, and their output must not exceed 18 V.
- RS485 (input / output mode) – For Modbus sensors CO2-5000, T4W, T5W, 4in1, D105 Solar or other equipment, e.g. reading inverter data. In the Extended version the D105 can act as a Modbus Server and provide data to a SCADA system or controller.
- Wi-Fi with built-in antenna – 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi through an antenna inside the housing – no external parts. Suits a plastic enclosure or a room with a stable signal.
- Cloud, MQTT, API – Data goes to the free smart-MAIC cloud and via MQTT and API (Standard – every 60 s, Extended – every 5 s). Where there is no Wi-Fi, use the 4G LTE Wi-Fi USB modem.
- Relay (< 50 W) – For remote control of equipment: a small load directly or a contactor coil.
How it works
Installation: the D105-10 mounts on a DIN rail (2 modules) and is powered from 100–240 V AC or 5 V DC. Meter pulse wires and sensors are connected to the terminals, then the device is joined to the local 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
Operation: pulses are counted continuously, readings refresh every 5 s and data is logged every 1 min. If the internet drops, the D105 stores data for up to 30 days, so there are no gaps in the records.
Result: in the cloud you see consumption charts, reports and sensor values, control the relay remotely and pass data via MQTT or API to Home Assistant, a BMS or your own system.
Why choose the D105-10?
One 2-module device replaces several separate loggers: two meters, temperature or humidity, an analogue sensor and Modbus equipment in one system. With a built-in antenna there is no need to think about antenna position or cable – the enclosure just has to be within Wi-Fi range.Technical specifications

- 2 pulse inputs – water, gas, heat or fuel metering without manual readings
- 1-Wire input – up to 5 temperature points or temperature and humidity from one sensor
- Analogue input 0.1–18 V DC – pressure, level, light, pH, TDS and other voltage signals
- RS485 – Modbus sensors (CO2, wind, soil, solar radiation) or other equipment
- Relay < 50 W – remote control of equipment
- Built-in Wi-Fi antenna – no external parts, a tidy installation in the enclosure
- Cloud, MQTT, API – charts, reports and integration with other systems
How does it differ from similar products?
- D105-12 – The same analyser, but with an external Wi-Fi antenna and the option of a 3 m remote antenna – for metal cabinets and weak-signal locations.
- D103 energy analysers – Measure electrical parameters (voltage, current, power, energy); the D105 counts pulses and sensor values – for water, gas, heat and environment.
- PQ-4G – An industrial Modbus → 4G module with RJ45 – only a data link. The D105-10 collects data itself and sends it over Wi-Fi.
Where is it used?
- Remote reading of water and gas meters in houses and flats
- Rental properties – splitting utility costs between tenants
- Boiler rooms and heat substations – temperature and pressure monitoring
- Server rooms and warehouses – temperature and humidity control
- Greenhouses and farms – air and soil parameters
- Water tanks and boreholes – level and pressure monitoring
- Plastic enclosures and rooms with a strong Wi-Fi signal
Use by need
For the homeowner.
Sees water and gas consumption on the phone, spots a leak or unusual use sooner and no longer has to walk to the meters. For the landlord.
Each flat's consumption is recorded automatically – tenant bills can be backed by charts instead of photos. For the installing electrician.
Simple installation in a plastic enclosure – no antenna cable to run and no antenna position to find.Practical use
If a house has two water meters with pulse outputs and the plastic enclosure in the hallway is close to the router, the D105-10 goes into that enclosure: both meters connect to the pulse inputs and a DS18b20 on the hot water pipe connects to 1-Wire. Daily consumption and temperature show up in the cloud, and the circulation pump can be controlled remotely via the relay and a contactor.Pros
- Built-in antenna – no external parts to break or lose
- 2 DIN modules – fits a small enclosure
- Four input types in one device: pulse, 1-Wire, analogue, RS485
- Wide supply range: 100–240 V AC or 5 V DC
- Stores data for up to 30 days without internet
- Free cloud, MQTT and API
- Operating temperature −40…+60 °C – suits unheated rooms
Cons / limitations
- No external antenna can be connected – in a metal cabinet or far from the router choose the D105-12 with a remote antenna
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only; 5 GHz networks are not supported
- The 1-Wire input takes either up to 5 DS18b20 or one DHT22 / D280, not both
- Operating time, heat meter and Modbus Server modes and 5 s MQTT / API are available in the Extended version only
Safety and installation notes
- Installation and 230 V connection must be done by a qualified electrician with the power off
- Do not exceed 18 V DC on the analogue input
- Use a separate power supply for sensors rated 12–24 V DC (not included)
- Keep the relay load below 50 W; switch higher power through a contactor
- A metal cabinet attenuates Wi-Fi – check the signal inside the cabinet with the door closed before installation
- Do not run signal wires together with power cables
Quick selection guide
2 pulse inputs0.1–18 V DCBuilt-in Wi-Fi antenna2 DIN modulesSuitable when you need:- metering of meters and sensors in a plastic enclosure or room
- a strong 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal at the installation point
- a compact solution without external antennas
Check before use:- Wi-Fi signal strength at the enclosure
- whether the meter has a pulse output and what its pulse value is (l/pulse)

Important reminder: The D105-10 does not measure electrical network parameters – that is what the D103 energy analysers are for. Without a Wi-Fi network or a 4G modem, data will not reach the cloud (the device stores it for up to 30 days).FAQ
