  • Pressure sensor for water, air, gas | 0–1.2 MPa (12 bar) | 0.5–4.5 V | G1/4 | analog input | for D105 pulse analyzer | smart-MAIC | G1/4

    Code: G1/4

A steel pressure sensor with G1/4 thread for measuring water, air and gas pressure from 0 to 1.2 MPa (12 bar). It connects to the analog input of the smart-MAIC D105 with a 0.5–4.5 V output. No separate supply is needed – the D105 provides 5 V.

  • Pressure sensor for water, air, gas | 0–1.2 MPa (12 bar) | 0.5–4.5 V | G1/4 | analog input | for D105 pulse analyzer | smart-MAIC | G1/4

The G1/4 is a steel pressure sensor for water, air and gas systems up to 1.2 MPa (12 bar). It screws into a G1/4 port and connects to the analog input of the smart-MAIC D105 pulse analyzer. The sensor converts pressure into a 0.5–4.5 V signal, which the D105 converts into bar.

    Key point:
Pressure is one of the first signs that something is wrong in a system: heating pressure drops, a pump stops, a filter clogs, a compressed air network leaks. With this sensor you see it in the cloud and receive a notification instead of finding out after a failure. No separate supply is needed – the D105 powers the sensor.
    Range
    0–1.2 MPa / 12 bar
    Output
    0.5–4.5 V DC
    Accuracy
    ±3%
    Power supply
    5 V DC from D105

    Connection to D105 and integration

    • Analog input 0.1–18 V DC – The signal (yellow) wire connects to D105 terminal 5 (ADC). The sensor output of 0.5–4.5 V is well below the 18 V limit.
    • Power from D105 – Red wire to terminal 6 (+5 V), black wire to terminal 1 (GND). No separate power supply is needed.
    • Conversion – In a dashboard arithmetic operation: bar = (U − 0.5) × 3. For a relay or notification threshold, voltage: U = (bar + 1.5) / 3.
    • Cloud, MQTT, API – Pressure is shown on a chart, transmitted via MQTT and API, and can control the D105 relay.

    How it works

The sensor is screwed into a G1/4 port (tee, gauge port or manifold) and sealed. The wires connect to the D105: black to 1 (GND), yellow to 5 (ADC), red to 6 (+5 V).

As pressure rises from 0 to 12 bar, the sensor output voltage changes linearly from 0.5 to 4.5 V – 1 V equals 3 bar. The D105 measures the voltage on its analog input.

On the dashboard a formula converts voltage into bar (or MPa, psi); you see current pressure and history, and receive a notification when pressure goes outside the set limits.

Why choose the G1/4 pressure sensor?
It is the simplest way to add pressure monitoring to a D105 system: three wires, power from the D105 itself, one formula. Pressure history helps find leaks, pump or pressure tank faults before they become an emergency.

    Key functions

    • Pressure measurement 0–12 bar – suitable for water supply, heating and compressed air.
    • Linear 0.5–4.5 V output – simple conversion: 1 V = 3 bar.
    • Powered from the D105 – no additional power supply needed.
    • Overload resistance up to 2.4 MPa – withstands short water hammer events up to twice the range.
    • Limits and notifications – the D105 reports low or high pressure and can control the relay.
    • Display in bar, MPa, psi – choose the unit with a dashboard formula.

How does it differ from similar products?

    • mH2O level sensor – Submerged in water and shows level 0…10 m, uses the same analog input but needs a 24 V DC supply; the G1/4 screws into pipework and is powered from the D105.
    • DN15 flow sensor – Measures flowed volume (pulses), not pressure, and connects to a pulse input – together with the G1/4 it shows both pressure and consumption.
    • TDS Level – Also uses the D105 analog input, so it will not work alongside the G1/4 in one D105 – each analog sensor needs its own D105.

    Where is it used?

    • heating system pressure monitoring
    • pressure tank and pump station monitoring
    • water supply inlet pressure in apartment buildings or plants
    • compressed air networks and compressors
    • irrigation systems and filter clogging control
    • process water circuits in production

    Use by need

    Apartment building manager.
Sees heating and water supply pressure remotely and gets a notification when it drops below normal.
    Homeowner with a borehole.
Monitors pressure tank pressure and notices in time when the pump cycles too often or no longer reaches pressure.
    Plant maintenance engineer.
Tracks compressed air network pressure and uses the history to detect leaks or compressor problems.

    Practical use

If heating system pressure drops in winter in a house with a gas boiler, the G1/4 sensor on the D105 continuously measures pressure and sends a notification when it falls below 1 bar. The owner tops up the system before the boiler stops due to low pressure.

    Pros

    • no separate supply – the D105 provides 5 V
    • simple three-wire connection
    • linear signal and a clear formula
    • 2.4 MPa overload pressure
    • steel body and standard G1/4 thread
    • cloud data, notifications and relay control

    Cons / limitations

    • the D105 has one analog input – it cannot be used together with an mH2O, TDS, pH or TEMT6000 sensor in one D105
    • ±3% accuracy – suitable for monitoring, not for billing or calibration
    • operating temperature up to +85 °C – not suitable directly on steam or superheated water lines
    • range up to 12 bar – for higher-pressure systems choose another 0–10 V sensor with a separate supply

    Safety and installation notes

    • Before installing or removing the sensor, depressurise the system to zero.
    • Seal the thread with a material suitable for the system and do not overtighten.
    • On gas systems, have installation done by a certified specialist and follow gas installation regulations.
    • Do not mix up the wires: +5 V only to terminal 6, signal to terminal 5.
    • Route the signal cable separately from 230 V wiring to reduce interference.

    Quick selection guide

    G1/4
    Suitable when you need:
    • to monitor pressure in a water, heating or air system remotely
    • to get notified of a pressure drop
    • a simple connection without additional power
    Check before use:
    • that the D105 analog input is free
    • that system pressure does not exceed 12 bar
    • that medium temperature does not exceed +85 °C
Important reminder: The sensor works only with the D105 and occupies its single analog input. It does not replace a pressure relief valve and is not a pressure safety device.

    FAQ

Which D105 input does the sensor connect to?
To the analog input – terminal 5 (ADC); power from terminal 6 (+5 V), GND to terminal 1.
Is a separate power supply required?
No, the D105 itself provides the 5 V supply.
How is voltage converted into bar?
    bar = (U − 0.5) × 3; the formula is entered in a dashboard arithmetic operation.
    Can gas pressure be measured?
The manufacturer specifies the sensor for water, air and gas; on gas systems install it in line with applicable regulations.
Can two pressure sensors be connected to one D105?
No, the D105 has one analog input; a second sensor needs another D105.
What does the sensor show at 0 bar?
    About 0.5 V; the formula with the U > 0.5 condition shows 0 bar.
