Splitting cable entry for two cables | 2× Ø8–64 mm | for FL21 (216×84 mm) cut-out | black | IP55 | MOREK | MBA4N28B11
Morek MC2 MBA4N28B11 is a splitting cable entry that mounts in an FL21 cut-out (216×84 mm) in the board wall and seals two cables Ø8–64 mm. The entry opens and is assembled around the cable, so the cable does not need to be threaded through an opening.
Key point:
A standard membrane plate has to be slipped over the cable end, which is impossible when the cable already has a factory connector or is connected and cannot be disconnected. The splitting Morek MC2 solves exactly this problem: the entry is assembled around the cable on site. Since the FL21 cut-out is the same as for 216×84 mm plates, an existing plate can be replaced without cutting the enclosure again.Cables

UL94 V-0How it works
Installation: open the entry, place its parts around the cables and fix it in the FL21 cut-out.
Operation: the assembled body surrounds both cables and is pressed against the board wall.
Result: two cables with connectors, or cables already connected, enter the board with IP55 protection – without cutting or disconnecting the cable.
Why choose Morek MBA4N28B11?
The main benefit is that cables with factory connectors or cables already connected do not have to be cut and re-terminated. This saves time and keeps the factory cable assembly intact.Technical specifications
Product type Splitting (openable) cable entry Code MBA4N28B11 (MC2 series) Manufacturer MOREK (Poland) Number of cables 2 Cable Ø 8–64 mm (manufacturer profile states up to 67 mm) Mounting FL21 cut-out (216×84 mm) Dimensions 222×92×75 mm Weight 1086 g Degree of protection IP55 (EN 60529) Operating temperature −40…+90 °C Material TPE Flammability class UL94 V-0 Colour black (RAL 9005) Main functions
- Splitting design – assembled around the cable, no need to thread the cable end.
- Two cables Ø8–64 mm – from control to heavy power cables.
- FL21 cut-out – the same opening as for 216×84 mm membrane plates.
- IP55 protection – against dust and water jets.
- UL94 V-0 material – self-extinguishing material.
- Operating temperature −40…+90 °C – for indoor and outdoor boards.
Where is it used?
- Machine and equipment control cabinets with connectorised cables
- Servo drive and motor cable entries
- Robot cells and production lines
- Refurbishment of existing boards without replacing cables
- Mobile and temporary distribution boards
- Boards receiving pre-assembled cables
Use by need
For the machine builder.
Factory cables with connectors enter the cabinet without being cut – the assembly and its testing remain valid. For the service electrician.
An old entry is replaced without disconnecting or cutting the cable – less downtime. For the designer.
The FL21 cut-out is compatible with 216×84 mm plates – the same opening can be planned for both solutions.Practical use
If two motor cables with factory connectors, larger than any plate entry, have to enter a control cabinet, open the Morek MBA4N28B11, assemble it around both cables and fix it in the FL21 cut-out – no cutting of cables or re-fitting of connectors is needed.Pros
- No threading – suitable for cables with connectors
- Wide cable range – Ø8–64 mm
- Fits a standard FL21 (216×84 mm) cut-out
- UL94 V-0 material
- Operating temperature −40…+90 °C
Cons / limitations
- IP55 – lower than IP65 membrane plates; for wetter locations choose HIK-2 (IP65) if the cable can be threaded.
- Only two cables – for many thin cables, HTC-50 or HTKC series plates in the same cut-out are a better fit.
- No data on strain relief – fix the cables inside the board.
- Sources differ on the upper limit (64 or 67 mm) – for a cable above Ø64 mm, check with us.
Safety and installation notes
- Work in the board only with the voltage switched off and its absence verified.
- When fitting the entry on an already connected cable, make sure the circuit is isolated and secured against switching on.
- Clean swarf and burrs from the cut-out edges – they can damage the cable sheath.
- Fix the cables inside the board – the weight of the connector and cable must not rest on the entry.
Quick selection guide
2× Ø8–64 mmFL21 (216×84 mm)IP55splittingSuitable when you need:- Bringing in cables with factory connectors
- Replacing an entry without cutting the cable
- Using an existing FL21 cut-out
Check before use:- The cables' outer diameters (Ø8–64 mm)
- Whether the enclosure has an FL21 (216×84 mm) cut-out
- Whether IP55 is sufficient for the environment
Important reminder: Morek MBA4N28B11 seals the entry point but is not a fire barrier; UL94 V-0 describes the material's flammability, not fire resistance.FAQ
Why choose a splitting entry?
It is assembled around the cable, so it suits cables with connectors or cables already connected.Which cables does it fit?
Two cables with an outer Ø of 8–64 mm.What opening is needed in the enclosure?
An FL21 cut-out – the same as for 216×84 mm membrane plates. What is the degree of protection?
IP55 according to EN 60529.What does UL94 V-0 mean?
It is the material's flammability class – the material is self-extinguishing; it does not make the entry a fire barrier. Can it replace an existing 216×84 mm plate?
Yes, if the enclosure has an FL21 cut-out – no new opening needs to be cut.Manufacturer documents
