Multi-entry cable entry plate | 216×100 mm | 1× Ø15–64 + 1× Ø15–35 + 4× Ø8–14 mm | black | IP65 | HIK-1
HIK-1 is a multi-entry cable entry plate that brings together a heavy power cable, a second medium-size cable and four thin control or signal cables in one place. The plate is fixed to the enclosure with four screws through Ø10 mm holes, and the cables pass through elastic cones that are cut to size.
Key point:
A distribution board typically receives one thick feeder cable and several thin ones – lighting, control, alarm. HIK-1 lets you bring them all in through a single enclosure opening without combining different glands. The entry is selected by the cable's outer diameter, so it does not matter whether the conductor is copper or aluminium – what matters is that the sheath Ø falls within the range.Plate

IP65How it works
Installation: cut an opening in the enclosure wall and screw the plate on with four screws through the Ø10 mm holes.
Operation: cut the tip of the required cone slightly smaller than the cable, push the cable through, and the elastic material wraps around the sheath.
Result: up to six cables brought in through one plate, the entry point protected to IP65, unused entries stay closed.
Why choose HIK-1?
HIK-1 solves a typical distribution board situation: one heavy cable up to Ø64 mm plus several thin ones. Instead of a separate gland for every cable – one plate and four screws, with unused entries kept as spare.Technical specifications
Product type Multi-entry cable entry plate Code HIK-1 Dimensions 216×100 mm Entries and cable Ø 1× Ø15–64 mm; 1× Ø15–35 mm; 4× Ø8–14 mm Max. number of cables 6 Fixing 4 holes Ø10 mm Degree of protection IP65 (EN 60529) Operating temperature −40…+100 °C Colour black Main functions
- Six cables through one plate – fewer enclosure openings and fewer sealing points.
- Large entry Ø15–64 mm – for the incoming power cable.
- Medium entry Ø15–35 mm – for a second supply or outgoing cable.
- Four entries Ø8–14 mm – for control, lighting and alarm cables.
- IP65 sealing – protection against dust and water jets.
- Closed spare entries – a cone is cut only where a cable goes through.
Where is it used?
- Building incoming and distribution boards
- Industrial workshop distribution boards
- Pumping station and boiler room control panels
- Temporary site distribution boards
- Boards in farms, warehouses and other unheated buildings
- Outdoor lighting control cabinets
Use by need
For the designer.
One line in the specification – entry for a heavy cable and several thin ones; easier to plan the bottom of the board. For the installing electrician.
No need to drill six separate holes and fit six glands – one opening, four screws and a knife to cut the cones. For the panel builder.
One standard solution for series-built boards with a typical cable set – fewer different items in stock.Practical use
If a building board receives an incoming cable with a sheath Ø of about 40 mm and four lighting circuit cables of roughly Ø10 mm leave it, cut the largest cone at a step slightly smaller than 40 mm and use the four Ø8–14 mm entries for the thin cables. The medium Ø15–35 mm entry stays closed as a spare.Pros
- Up to six cables through one enclosure opening
- Wide range of the largest entry – Ø15–64 mm
- IP65 protection
- Operating temperature −40…+100 °C – suitable for unheated rooms too
- Unused entries stay sealed – spare capacity remains
Cons / limitations
- The plate does not provide strain relief – cables must be fixed inside the board.
- For two heavy cables HIK-2 (2× Ø14–64 mm) is a better fit.
- For one very thick cable Ø55–70 mm – HTX-1.
- IP65, not IP68 – not suitable for permanent immersion.
Safety and installation notes
- Work in the board only with the voltage switched off and its absence verified.
- After cutting the opening, remove metal swarf and deburr sharp edges.
- Cut the cone at a step slightly smaller than the cable's outer Ø – an oversized hole reduces sealing.
- One cable – one entry; never pass two cables through one cone.
- Fix the cables inside the board with clamps or cable holders – the plate does not take up tension.
Quick selection guide
216×100 mm1× Ø15–64 mm1× Ø15–35 mm4× Ø8–14 mmSuitable when you need:- One heavy and several thin cables through one opening
- IP65 protection in a distribution board
- Spare entries for future cables
Check before use:- The cables' outer diameters (not conductor mm²)
- Whether the enclosure has room for a 216×100 mm plate and 4 screws
- How the cables will be fixed inside the board
Important reminder: HIK-1 is not a fire barrier and does not take up cable tension – use certified systems for fire-rated penetrations and fix the cables inside the board.FAQ
How do I choose the entry for a cable?
By the cable's outer sheath diameter, not by the conductor cross-section in mm².How many cables can be brought in?
Up to six: one Ø15–64 mm, one Ø15–35 mm and four Ø8–14 mm.Can unused entries be left as they are?
Yes – uncut cones stay closed, so sealing is maintained. What degree of protection does the plate provide?
IP65 according to EN 60529 – protection against dust and water jets.Is it suitable for unheated rooms?
Yes, the operating temperature is −40…+100 °C.What should I choose for two thick cables?
HIK-2 – two entries Ø14–64 mm.Manufacturer documents
