    Famatel 3061 AcquaBOX is a weatherproof surface-mounted box with one pre-wired Schuko 16 A 230 V socket. It is intended for fixed supply of a single-phase appliance in a garage, workshop, storeroom or outdoors. The enclosure is IP54, IK08, Class II insulated, made of halogen-free ABS.

    Key point:
    A compact way to install one moisture- and dust-resistant domestic socket where a standard indoor socket does not fit. The socket is factory-wired, so the electrician only has to bring in the cable and connect it. There are no protective devices in the box – a 16 A breaker and a 30 mA RCD are selected in the board.

    How it works

    The box is fixed to a wall or other flat surface. The supply cable enters through one of the entries (5 on top, 4 at the bottom) and is connected to the pre-wired socket.

    The Schuko (CEE 7/3, type F) 2P+PE 16 A 250 V socket with side earthing contacts accepts standard 230 V appliance plugs.

    With the lid closed, the IP54 enclosure protects against dust and splashing water from all directions, and IK08 against moderate impacts. There are no protective devices inside: the breaker and RCD are in the board.

    A Famatel 3061 is mounted by the garage door, supplied with 3×2.5 mm² cable from a board with a 16 A breaker and 30 mA RCD. A vacuum cleaner or portable lamp is plugged in; the IP54 enclosure protects against dust and splashes when the floor is washed.

    Cons / limitations

    • No breaker or RCD – protection must be in the board.

    • IP54 – not for water jets or permanent immersion; a shelter is recommended outdoors.

    Safety and installation notes

    • ⚡ Must be connected by a qualified electrician; work only with the supply disconnected.
    • ⚡ Protect the socket circuit with a 16 A breaker (or lower, to suit the cable) and a 30 mA RCD – the box has no separate 16 A protection.
    • Connecting the protective conductor (PE) to the socket earthing contact is mandatory.
    • Select the cable cross-section according to the breaker and line length.
    • On construction sites supply the box only from a site distribution board (HD 60364-7-704).
    • IP54 applies only with the lid closed and the cable entry properly sealed.
    • Mount so that cable entries are at the bottom or protected from running water.
