Weatherproof socket box | 2×Schuko 16 A 230 V | AcquaBOX | IP54 | IK08 | Famatel 3064
Famatel 3064 AcquaBOX is a weatherproof surface-mounted socket box with two pre-wired Schuko 16 A 230 V sockets. It is intended for fixed supply of single-phase appliances in garages, workshops, storerooms and outdoors. The enclosure is IP54, IK08, Class II insulated, made of halogen-free ABS.
Key point:
A simple way to install two moisture-resistant domestic sockets where a standard indoor socket does not fit. The sockets are factory-wired, so the electrician only has to bring in the cable and connect it. There are no protective devices in the box – a 16 A breaker and a 30 mA RCD are selected in the board.Sockets

The box is fixed to a wall or other flat surface. The supply cable enters through one of the entries (5 on top, 4 at the bottom) and is connected to the pre-wired sockets.
Two Schuko (CEE 7/3, type F) 2P+PE 16 A 250 V sockets with side earthing contacts accept standard 230 V appliance plugs.
With the lid closed, the IP54 enclosure protects against dust and splashing water from all directions, and IK08 against moderate impacts. There are no protective devices inside: the breaker and RCD are in the board.
Why choose Famatel 3064?
Garages, workshops or terraces often need two sockets in one place exposed to moisture or dust. The 3064 solves this with a single product: a weatherproof box, two pre-wired sockets and a Class II enclosure with no exposed metal parts.Technical specifications

Use by need
For beginners.
A box with two domestic sockets that tolerates dust and splashes. It must be connected by an electrician and fed from a board with a 16 A breaker and a 30 mA RCD.For experienced installers.
The manufacturer specifies 5 entries on top and 4 at the bottom; seal the entry with a gland or membrane matching the cable diameter and mount it so that water does not run into the entry. For power engineers / designers.
The product complies with EN 60670-22 (boxes) and IEC 60884 (sockets) – it is a socket box, not a distribution board to EN 61439-3. Design the circuit as a standard 16 A socket circuit with a 30 mA RCD.Practical use
In a garage, a Famatel 3064 is mounted next to the door and fed with 3×2.5 mm² cable from a board with a 16 A breaker and a 30 mA RCD. One socket is used for a compressor, the other for a portable lamp or vacuum cleaner; the IP54 enclosure protects against dust and splashes when the floor is washed.Pros / advantages
- Two Schuko 16 A sockets in one weatherproof box
- IP54 and IK08
- Class II insulation
- Halogen-free ABS, glow-wire test 750/650 °C
- Pre-wired sockets
- Compact size 110×150×63 mm
Cons / limitations
- No breaker or RCD – protection must be in the board.
- No CEE socket for three-phase equipment – see Famatel 3067 (8567) or SEZ ROSP 1631 D/S (577).
- IP54 – not for water jets or immersion; a shelter is recommended outdoors.
- Only two sockets – for more loads use Famatel 3065 (8580).
Safety and installation notes
- ⚡ Connection must be done by a qualified electrician, with the supply switched off.
- ⚡ Protect the socket circuit with a 16 A breaker (or lower to suit the cable) and a 30 mA RCD – there is no dedicated 16 A protection in the box.
- Select the cable cross-section according to the breaker and the line length.
- On construction sites feed the box only from a site distribution board (HD 60364-7-704).
- IP54 applies only with the lid closed and the cable entry properly sealed.
- Mount so that the cable entries are at the bottom or protected from running water.
Quick selection guide
2×Schuko 16 A 230 VIP54, IK08110×150×63 mmNo protection, Class IISuitable when you need:- Two 230 V sockets in a damp or dusty location
- A fixed wall-mounted socket point
- A simple solution when protection is in the board
Check before choosing:- Whether the line has a 16 A breaker and a 30 mA RCD
- Whether you need a three-phase CEE socket
- Whether the location is exposed to water jets
- How many sockets you need (1, 2 or 4)
Important reminder: Famatel 3064 does not replace protection: there is no breaker or RCD in the box. The socket circuit must be protected in the board by a 16 A breaker and a 30 mA RCD.☝ Elsprendimai.eu recommends:- Combined socket box selection guide – socket types, IP ratings, cable and protection sizing, “wrong / right” diagram.
- Modular equipment – MCBs and 30 mA RCDs for the supply line.
- Industrial plugs and sockets – CEE plugs for connecting equipment.
- Copper cables – with the right cross-section for the supply line.
FAQ
Does the box contain a breaker or an RCD?
No. Inside there are only two pre-wired Schuko sockets. Protection is a 16 A breaker and a 30 mA RCD in the board. Can it be installed outdoors?
The manufacturer specifies indoor and outdoor use; IP54 protects against splashes, but a shelter is better against direct rain and jets.Is a cable with plug included?
No, it is a fixed surface-mounted box; the electrician brings in and connects the supply cable. What type of sockets are they?
Schuko (CEE 7/3, type F) 2P+PE 16 A 250 V with side earthing contacts – the standard domestic socket in the Baltics. What are the dimensions?
110×150×63 mm, weight 0.338 kg.Is it suitable for a construction site?
It can serve as a socket point fed from a site board with RCD; for portable use a socket box with holder is a better choice.Sources: Famatel product page famatel.com (3064), technical datasheet DT_3064, declaration of conformity CE_3064. Checked 2026-10-20.
