    Famatel 3065 AcquaBOX – weatherproof surface-mounted box with four factory-wired Schuko 16 A 230 V sockets. For fixed supply of single-phase appliances in garages, workshops, warehouses and outdoors. IP54, IK08, Class II enclosure made of halogen-free ABS.

    Key point:
    Four sockets in one sealed box give a connection point for several tools or appliances without extension leads on the floor. The sockets are factory-wired, so the electrician only brings in and connects the cable. There are no protective devices inside – a 16 A breaker and 30 mA RCD are selected in the board.

    How it works

    The box is fixed to a wall or other flat surface. The supply cable enters through one of the entries (5 at the top, 4 at the bottom) and is connected to the factory-wired sockets.

    Four Schuko 2P+PE 16 A 250 V~ sockets with side earth contacts accept standard 230 V appliance plugs.

    IP54 protects against dust and splashing water from all directions with the lid closed, IK08 against moderate impacts. All four sockets are fed from the same 16 A line, so their total load is limited by the line breaker.

    Use by need

    For beginners.
    A box with four household sockets that tolerates dust and splashes. It must be connected by an electrician, supplied from a board with a 16 A breaker and a 30 mA RCD.

    The manufacturer specifies 5 entries at the top and 4 at the bottom; seal the entry with a gland or membrane matching the cable diameter. Remember that the four sockets share one 16 A line.

    Practical use

    A Famatel 3065 next to a workbench is supplied by a 3×2.5 mm² cable from a board with a 16 A breaker and a 30 mA RCD. A charger, work light, drill and vacuum cleaner are plugged in at the same time; the IP54 enclosure protects against dust and splashes.

    Cons / limitations

    Safety and installation notes

    • ⚡ Connection must be made by a qualified electrician, with the supply switched off.
    • ⚡ Protect the socket circuit with a 16 A breaker (or lower, matched to the cable) and a 30 mA RCD – the box has no separate 16 A protection.
    • The total load of all four sockets must not exceed the rated current of the line breaker.
    • Connecting the PE conductor of the Schuko sockets is mandatory.
    • On construction sites supply the box only from a construction site distribution board (HD 60364-7-704).
    • IP54 applies only with the lid closed and the cable entry properly sealed.
    • Install so that the cable entries face down or are protected from running water.
