Temperature and humidity sensor | −40…+80 °C | 0…99 % RH | 1-Wire | for D105 pulse analyzer | smart-MAIC | DHT22
The DHT22 is a digital sensor that measures air temperature and relative humidity at the same time. It connects to the 1-Wire input of the smart-MAIC D105 pulse analyzer and sends both parameters as a digital signal.
Key point:
Humidity is often more important than temperature: it drives mould, condensation, product quality and comfort. The DHT22 measures humidity with ±2 % RH accuracy – better than the D280 – and uses no D105 input other than 1-Wire. Power is taken from the D105 itself.Humidity

1-WirePower
3.6…6 V DC from the D105Connection to D105 and integration
- 1-Wire input (terminal 4) – Sensor pin 2 (data) connects to D105 terminal 4 “Data 1-Wire”. One DHT22 is connected per input – it occupies the entire 1-Wire input.
- Power (terminals 6 and 1) – Pin 1 – terminal 6 (+5 V from the D105), pin 4 – terminal 1 (GND); pin 3 is not used. No separate power supply is needed.
- Configuration and data – In the D105 “Counter config” settings select “DHT22 Temperature and Humidity”. Temperature is stored in T1, humidity in T2; data is available in the cloud, API and MQTT.
How it works
The sensor is mounted in the room or zone being measured, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, and the wires are routed to the D105. Three pins are connected: power, data and GND.
The temperature and capacitive humidity elements inside the DHT22 are calibrated at the factory. The sensor sends digital values to the D105 over the 1-Wire line.
In the cloud you see temperature and humidity charts and history, and you can set notifications – for example when humidity exceeds 70 % – or a D105 relay that switches on a fan or dehumidifier.
Why choose the DHT22?
One inexpensive sensor gives you two key indoor climate parameters without calibration or a separate power supply. Together with the CO2-5000 (RS485 input), one D105 can measure the complete indoor climate.Technical specifications

- Two parameters in one – temperature and relative humidity.
- ±2 % RH accuracy – suitable for assessing condensation and mould risk.
- Factory calibration – no adjustment needed after installation.
- Powered from the D105 – no separate unit.
- Relay control by humidity – ventilation or dehumidifier automation.
- MQTT and API – data for BMS or home automation.
How does it differ from similar products?
- DS18b20 – Measures temperature only, but is waterproof and up to 5 pcs connect to one input; the DHT22 is a single unit, but with humidity.
- D280 – Also measures atmospheric pressure, but humidity accuracy is ±3 % RH and temperature ±1 °C; the DHT22 is more accurate for both.
- CO2-5000 – Measures CO2 concentration and connects to RS485, so it can work together with the DHT22 on the same D105.
Where is it used?
- Offices, schools and meeting rooms
- Basements and rooms at risk of mould
- Warehouses and archives
- Greenhouses and seedling rooms
- Server rooms and electrical rooms
- Livestock and poultry housing
- Houses and apartments
Use by need
For building managers.
You see which rooms are too humid and can react in time, before mould appears. For farm and greenhouse owners.
Real-time temperature and humidity on your phone, and the D105 relay can switch on ventilation. For archive or warehouse managers.
A history of storage conditions – proof that goods or documents were kept in proper conditions.Practical use
If condensation appears on basement walls, connect the DHT22 to the D105 and the D105 relay to a dehumidifier or extract fan. Then set a condition – for example, switch on when humidity exceeds 65 % – and follow how the situation changes in the history.Pros
- Temperature and humidity in one sensor
- Humidity accuracy ±2 % RH
- Factory calibration
- Powered from the D105, no extra unit
- Can work together with the CO2-5000 (different inputs)
- Small and easy to mount
Cons / limitations
- Only one DHT22 can be connected to a D105 – it occupies the entire 1-Wire input.
- With a DHT22 connected, the same input cannot be used for DS18b20, D280 or DR-20.
- Lowest temperature −40 °C, highest +80 °C – for hot media use the DS18b20 (up to +125 °C).
- The housing is not sealed – unsuitable for water or direct rain.
Safety and installation notes
- Connect the sensor only with the D105 power switched off.
- Follow the pin order: 1 – +5 V, 2 – data, 4 – GND; pin 3 is not used.
- Do not mount on heat sources, near radiators or in direct sunlight – readings will be distorted.
- Outdoors, use a protective shield against rain and sun.
- Route signal wires away from power cables.
Quick selection guide
0…99 % RH±2 % RH / ±0.5 °C−40…+80 °C1-Wire, 1 pcSuitable when you need:- room temperature and humidity with one sensor
- ventilation or dehumidifier control by humidity
- a history of storage conditions
Check before use:- that the D105 1-Wire input is free
- that there is no condensation or direct water at the mounting point
- the distance to the D105 and the wire route
Important reminder: The DHT22 works only with the D105 (not with D101 or D103) and is not designed for immersion or liquid temperature measurement – choose the DS18b20 for that.FAQ
How many DHT22 can be connected to one D105?
One – it occupies the entire 1-Wire input. Can DS18b20 sensors be connected at the same time?
No, the 1-Wire input accepts either one DHT22 or up to 5 DS18b20.Is a separate power supply needed?
No, the sensor is powered with 5 V from D105 terminal 6.Where is humidity shown?
In D105 data channel T2, temperature in T1.Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, but only in a protective shield against rain and direct sunlight. Can a CO2 sensor be connected as well?
Yes, the CO2-5000 connects to the RS485 input and does not interfere with the DHT22.DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor for the smart-MAIC D105 analyzer
