  • Temperature, humidity and pressure sensor | −40…+85 °C | 0…100 % RH | 300…1100 hPa | 1-Wire | for D105 pulse analyzer | smart-MAIC | D280

The D280 is a digital environmental sensor that measures air temperature, relative humidity and atmospheric pressure in one housing. It connects to the 1-Wire input of the smart-MAIC D105 pulse analyzer and sends all three parameters as a digital signal.

    Key point:
Atmospheric pressure is a parameter that neither the DS18b20 nor the DHT22 can measure. Its changes indicate upcoming weather shifts, so the D280 is a logical basis for a small weather station or building environment monitoring. One sensor occupies the 1-Wire input, while the other D105 inputs remain free for meters and RS485 sensors.
    Pressure
    300…1100 hPa, ±1 hPa
    Temperature
    −40…+85 °C, ±1 °C
    Humidity
    0…100 % RH, ±3 % RH
    Interface
    1-Wire, 5 V from the D105

    Connection to D105 and integration

    • 1-Wire input (terminal 4) – The middle sensor pin (Data) connects to D105 terminal 4 “Data 1-Wire”. One D280 is connected per input – it occupies the entire 1-Wire input.
    • Power (terminals 6 and 1) – Vcc pin – terminal 6 (+5 V from the D105), GND – terminal 1. No separate power supply is needed.
    • Configuration and data – In the D105 “Counter config” settings select “Temperature/Humidity/Pressure (D280)”. T1 – temperature, T2 – humidity, T3 – pressure; data is available in the cloud, API and MQTT.

    How it works

The sensor is mounted where air circulates freely, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Three wires (Vcc, Data, GND) are routed to D105 terminals 6, 4 and 1.

The D280 measures all three parameters and sends them to the D105 over the 1-Wire line. The D105 stores them in separate channels T1–T3.

In the cloud you see temperature, humidity and pressure curves, can compare the pressure trend with weather changes, and set notifications or D105 relay control by any of the three parameters.

    Why choose the D280?
Three environmental parameters from one sensor and one input – without a separate power supply or extra modules. With the T4W and T5W wind sensors (RS485), one D105 becomes a simple weather station.

    Key functions

    • Three parameters in one – temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure.
    • Pressure trend – tracking weather changes in a weather station.
    • One data wire – 1-Wire, no analog signal conversion.
    • Powered from the D105 – no separate unit.
    • Thresholds and relay – ventilation or heating control by temperature or humidity.
    • MQTT and API – data for BMS, SCADA or home automation.

How does it differ from similar products?

    • DHT22 – Has no pressure, but measures humidity (±2 % RH) and temperature (±0.5 °C) more accurately; if pressure is not needed, the DHT22 is the more accurate choice.
    • DS18b20 – Temperature only, but waterproof, up to +125 °C and up to 5 pcs on one input.
    • T4W / T5W – Wind speed and direction via RS485, require a separate 12–24 V DC supply; together with the D280 they form a weather station.

    Where is it used?

    • Small weather stations and farm weather monitoring
    • Greenhouses and seedling rooms
    • Building and indoor climate monitoring
    • School and university science projects
    • Warehouses with temperature and humidity requirements
    • Homes with home automation

    Use by need

    For farmers.
Falling pressure and rising humidity on your phone – a signal to plan field work before the weather changes.
    For teachers and educators.
A three-parameter history in the cloud – ready material for science lessons and projects.
    For automation integrators.
Three environmental variables via MQTT over one 1-Wire connection – fewer wires and less configuration.

    Practical use

If you want your own weather data on a farm, connect the D280 to the D105 (1-Wire) and the T4W and T5W wind sensors to RS485 with a separate 12–24 V DC supply. Then you will see temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed and direction in one place in the cloud.

    Pros

    • Temperature, humidity and pressure in one sensor
    • Pressure measurement that the DHT22 and DS18b20 lack
    • Powered from the D105, no extra unit
    • Simple configuration in the D105 settings
    • RS485 and analog input remain free for other sensors

    Cons / limitations

    • Only one D280 can be connected to a D105 – it occupies the entire 1-Wire input.
    • With a D280 connected, the same input cannot be used for DS18b20, DHT22 or DR-20.
    • Humidity (±3 % RH) and temperature (±1 °C) accuracy is lower than the DHT22 – if pressure is not needed, choose the DHT22.
    • Not sealed – a protective shield is needed outdoors.

    Safety and installation notes

    • Connect the sensor only with the D105 power switched off.
    • Follow the pin order: Vcc – terminal 6, Data – 4, GND – 1.
    • Outdoors, use a ventilated protective shield against rain and direct sunlight.
    • Do not mount near heat sources or ventilation openings – they distort temperature and humidity.
    • Route signal wires away from power cables.

    Quick selection guide

    300…1100 hPa
    −40…+85 °C
    0…100 % RH
    1-Wire, 1 pc
    Suitable when you need:
    • atmospheric pressure monitoring
    • three environmental parameters on one input
    • a simple weather station with the D105
    Check before use:
    • that the D105 1-Wire input is free
    • that air circulates at the mounting point and there are no heat sources
    • whether pressure is really needed (otherwise the DHT22 is more accurate)
Important reminder: The D280 works only with the D105 (not with D101 or D103). It measures ambient air, not water, gas or air pressure in pipelines – the G1/4 pressure sensor is designed for that.
